Art Statement

《重生》：时光的伤痕，终将淬炼为艺术的灵魂。

Matt的艺术实践是一场跨越时空的诗意对话，将机械美学与当代绘画编织成动人的物语。这种在精密机械上重构记忆的创作方式，是将一些已经失去价值的东西变成对某人来说意义非凡的艺术品。在每一块古董手表上创作的旅程中，能让人体验到一种不同时空交叉时的情感联系，每块古董表的齿轮系统都是工业革命的微型宇宙，让修复过程成为集体记忆的考古现场。

Matt故意保留某些岁月痕迹作为创作基底，用“残缺美学”重构时间维度。当新主人旋动表冠时，不仅是在上紧发条，更在启动不同时空的共振频率——这才是真正意义上的时光机器。

Matt也颂扬最初制作该物品的工艺，用绘画艺术呈现一件焕新的作品。艺术可以穿越时空，让不同时代的人获得连结，艺术也可以连结不同的地域和国家，每一次上弦，Matt也对这件艺术品的新主人和新故事充满期待......

I love watches and I love painting. I love taking something that has lost value and transforming it into something that is meaningful for someone to wear but also celebrates the craftsmanship that made that item originally. The central idea of this project is that everyone of us is on a journey and so are the people, things (living or objects) and places we interact with. When our paths cross we often have an emotional connection, and some objects, like a watch, may symbolise a deeper link. Resurfacing is partly about giving an old watch a new appearance but also it’s about bringing something back to life and giving it a chance to be part of a new story and connections, something we can think about every time we wind it or check the time.

毕业于英国诺丁汉大学，在汽车行业一公司担任人力资源领导。2016年因企业工作搬到了上海。一位多才多艺的画家。安迈特负责领导公司的环境和社会体系，改进可持续性，减少浪费，改善人们和社区的健康和福祉。

自2017年起成为上海英国商会人力资源委员会成员创作主要关注文化内部和文化之间存在的文化差异，在VUCA世界里借鉴专业经验; 他的艺术实践是将机械美学与当代绘画编织成动人的物语。最近一直在运用金缮的理念，用油画修补手表等古董物品。自2019年起，每年参与上海“艺连心”慈善艺术展，为先天性心脏病患儿的手术募捐2019年夏季，

在上海与JWDK、Nice People合作举办个展自2022年3月起成为上海 MELBOURNE的常驻艺术家2024年4月27日入选在Proverse M50的20位外国艺术家群展2024年作品入选世界粮食日意大利ADI博物馆展览教育诺丁汉大学，法学学士约克法学院

Born in the UK, to a professional family, educated in Law and worked in car industry as an HR leader. Moved to Shanghai in 2016 as part of corporate career. Self-taught painter, active since 2000

Lead the company’s environmental and social system, making improvements to sustainability, reducing waste, and improving health and wellbeing of people and communities. CREATIVE

Mainly focus on the cultural contrast existing within and between cultures, drawing on professional experiences in a VUCA world; as well as the transience of people, relationships and objects, inspired by a blending of western metaphysical philosophy and eastern aesthetics. Recently have been adapting the ideas of Kintsugi to restore antique objects such as watches with oil painting. Annual contributor to ‘Art for Heart’ charity Art exhibition, Shanghai since 2019, raising money for operations for children with Congenital Heart Disorders; Solo exhibition in partnership with JWDK and Nice People, Shanghai, Summer 2019; Resident artist at MELBOURNE, Shanghai since March 2022; 20 selected foreign artists group exhibition at Proverse M50, 27th April 2024

纳比尼塔·萨哈1974年生于印度，2002年获瓦多达拉大学美术学院硕士学位。作品曾多次参加世界级大赛并多次获奖，且被多家博物馆及卡塔尔王子、各国政要所收藏。被誉为印度驻华首席艺术家，有印度“女梵高”之称。

Nabinita Saha was born in India in 1974 and received her Master's degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Vadodara University in 2002. Her works have participated in many world-class competitions and won many awards, and have been collected by many museums, Qatari princes and dignitaries of various countries. She is known as the chief artist of India in China and the "female Van Gogh" of India.
